Who writes this site
Written by the Crema Count editorial team. We sign as a team, not with a personal name, and we never use an invented persona. Our method is the same on every page: we read the product pages of the makers and of the U.S. espresso stores, quote the published specifications with the date we read them, list every store price we found for the same model (lowest first), run the calculations shown on the page, and pick models with written rules, never by commission. We have not bought, pulled a shot on or tested the machines and grinders we compare. The full method is on How we compare.

Crema Count compares home espresso machines and grinders from the figures their makers and U.S. retailers publish, and adds public data: average retail prices of coffee and milk from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, residential electricity prices from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. It has not tested any machine and is not affiliated with any brand or store. Brand names belong to their owners.
